Driver escapes I-5 crash with non-life threatening injuries

GRANTS PASS, Ore. – A driver survived a crash along Interstate 5 Tuesday morning.

Rural Metro Fire said just after 11:00 a.m., a vehicle went off the roadway near milepost 59 and traveled through two upright signposts before crashing into nearby trees.

The driver was removed from the significantly damaged vehicle by firefighters and taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
