Drunk driving simulation at N. Medford High

15 MIN

Medford, Ore.– North Medford High School students see first hand the dangers of drinking and driving thanks to a dramatic simulation that spares no details.

Mercy Flights, Medford Fire and Rescue and Medford Police participated in the “Every 15 Minutes” drill this morning.

The life-like simulation is held at high schools nationwide.  A group of students brought the demonstration to North for their senior project in hopes of shedding light on the realties of driving drunk.

“We just hope that after seeing this scene people will actually take a step back and actually think before they act and hopefully nobody gets behind the wheel drunk,” says student Cassie Campbell.

The project wraps up tomorrow with an all school assembly where a student will share their personal experience of losing a loved one in a drunk driving accident.
