Bend, Ore. — The man accused of murder in Bend, and a string of crimes in both Oregon and California, has been indicted.
Edwin Lara was indicted on 4 counts of aggravated murder today in a Deschutes County courtroom.
Police in Bend say the 31-year old Redmond resident killed 23-year old Kaylee Sawyer and then kidnapped a young woman in Salem.
Lara’s also accused of shooting an elderly man in Yreka and kidnapping a family there. He’ll remain behind bars with no bail.
