Portland, Ore. – An elderly man has been indicted by a Multnomah County grand jury on a charge of criminally negligent homicide in connection with a fatal crash in Portland.
Portland NBC affiliate KGW reports 90-year-old Edmond Pomroy Balding was booked on Thursday and is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
Police say on March 18, Balding struck a 34-year-old woman with his vehicle while driving through a Portland intersection.
The woman died as a result of her injuries nine days later.
