Emergency responders rescue man who fell down embankment

0929-rmf-rescueJosephine, Ore. – Firefighters responded to a rollover crash in a rural area of Josephine County south of Murphy around 10:30 Wednesday night.

According to Rural-Metro Fire, when crews arrived to the location of the crash several miles up Spencer Creek Road, they found a pickup truck on its side near the road with two young men standing nearby. They told firefighters they lost control on a rough portion of the gravel roadway.

Firefighters said a third man was standing near the side of the embankment after the crash but he fell for unknown reasons and fell down approximately 125 feet.

According to RMF, rescue crews assembled a rope system to bring the patient up to the road so he could be transferred to an ambulance.
