Medford, Ore. — Southern Oregon shows strong job growth for September.
Jackson County added 1,200 jobs with local school employment accounting for much of that gain.
The 250 jobs added in Josephine County were also boosted by the beginning of the school year.
Coos County added 180 jobs thanks gains in private education and health services sectors.
Curry County saw a gain of 90 jobs for the month thanks to additions in local government.
