Klamath County, Ore. – A Boise, Idaho woman is dead following a head-on crash in Klamath County.
The accident happened Sunday afternoon about 59 miles north of Klamath Falls on Highway 97, near Chemult.
The victim has been identified as Melissa Gibson of Idaho. Her passenger, 22-year-old Oregon City woman Simona Arnautov was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say 19-year-old Elizabeth Brown of Klamath Falls fell asleep at the wheel, and drove into Gibson’s lane. She also sustained non-life threatening injuries.
