Paisley, Ore. — Crews are making good progress fighting the Withers Fire near Paisley. Paisley residents were still under a level one evacuation Friday night. That means they have to be ready to leave in case the fire advances.
The Oregon Department of Forestry says the 3,400-acre fire is now 40% contained and mop-up operations are already underway.
Dry and hot weather continues to hinder crews’ efforts. The cause is under investigation.
