Fire in Southern California prompts evacuations

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. (KNSD/NBC) – A wildfire is burning in Southern California is forcing thousands of people to evacuate their homes.

The Creek Fire is burning on Camp Pendleton Marine Base.

7,000 people in nearby Fallbrook are under mandatory evacuation orders.

Authorities say the fire has burned more than 3,000 acres and is 0% contained.
