Douglas County, Ore. — Firefighters have already been hard at work this year, but today marks the official start to fire season in Douglas County.
The Douglas Forest Protective Association says the official start means new restrictions are now in place.
Burn permits will no longer be issued, and outside debris burning is prohibited for rural Douglas County residents.
