First ‘guilty’ plea in Capitol riot

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NBC) – Federal prosecutors have scored their first guilty plea in the Capitol riot cases.

Jon Schaffer of Indiana is pleading guilty to unlawfully entering Congress and obstructing an official proceeding.

Schaffer is accused of being a long-time member of the Oath Keepers.

Schaffer turned himself into the FBI on January 17.
