Central Point, Ore., — Jackson County Commissioners approve the first solar farm in the county.
The board met today to hear California-based company Cypress Creek’s’ proposal.
The solar farm will be placed along the 5800 block of Mcloughlin Drive in Central Point.
It will be a 44-acre facility and will be able to produce enough electricity to power 2,000 homes a year.
The farm could be up and running by the end of this year.
