Former P.E. teacher named in bullying lawsuit

Klamath Falls, Ore. –The Klamath County School District and a former physical education coach are defendants in an approximately $700,000 lawsuit.

Peter Paul Lucas pleaded ‘no contest’ last year to misdemeanor charges related to bullying a student.

The lawsuit claims Lucas encouraged classmates to ‘dogpile’ on the student at Henley high school in 2015 and that Lucas put his shoe in the boy’s face, claiming that he had recently stepped in dog waste.

The lawsuit also claims the district was negligent in hiring and supervising Lucas, and in investigating the complaints.
