Four hikers rescued from Mt. McLoughlin

Jackson County, Ore.- Four hikers from Central Point were rescued from Mt. McLoughlin Friday morning. The hikers became lost Thursday and spent the night on the mountain.

30 searchers from Jackson County, Josephine County and Klamath County search and rescue teams all helped in the search. They worked overnight to find the group.

A helicopter crew spotted the three men and one woman on a lava flow. The group was brought to safety about 11:30 a.m.

The hikers were dehydrated, but otherwise in good health.
