Fresh snow on Mt. Ashland to welcome last visitors of the season

Mt. Ashland, Ore.– Fresh snow will welcome skiers and snowboarders this weekend as Mt. Ashland prepares for it’s final days of the season.

Yesterday and overnight about 7 inches of snow fell on the ski area.  Mt. Ashland’s General Manager Hiram tTowle says great weather has boosted numbers significantly from last year.

“Last season we had about 18,000 skier visits.  We are already at 67,365 skier visits for this year,” he says.

Mt. Ashland will be open this Saturday and Sunday, April 16th and 17th from 9am to 4pm.  You may want to dust off your hula skirts and leis.  Visitors are encouraged to come dressed in Hawaiian clothes to celebrate the end of the mountains season.
