Fundraiser benefits nurse who suffered stroke

Medford, Ore. — Nurses are supposed to be the ones helping us back to health, but now a Rogue Regional Medical Center nurse needs your help.

Christina Olinghouse is a nurse in the Family Birth Center at Rogue Regional, on October 10th she suffered a brainstem stroke and was hospitalized for several weeks.

Her husband, Ben, a Captain with Cal Fire, hasn’t left her side since and neither has been working.

Her friend and co-worker, Julianne Keller, felt something needed to be done.

“Sending somebody flowers isn’t going to do anything to change their life and she needs something more than just flowers to look at or more than just a card,” Julianne said.

A LuLaRoe clothing sale, silent auction, and raffle have been set up in their honor. All proceeds from the silent auction and raffle, as well as a portion of proceeds from the clothing sale, will go to the family.

The fundraiser will be this Thursday the 15th from 4:30 to 8:30 at the Jackson County Expo in the Mace building.

A GoFundMe page has also been set up at gofundme.com/NinaNeedsOurHelp.
