Grants Pass, Ore. – The city of Grants Pass is hoping to move forward with their new city logo after a failed attempt with a previous one.
On Tuesday night, Grants Pass citizens and council members all gave positive feedback on the new logo and tag line for the city of Grants Pass, “The Heart of the Rogue”.
Assistant City Manager David Reeves said the city is looking to capitalize on the Rogue River. “The one unique thing we have is the river. This is a good illustration, you can just see it at a distance,‘Yeah, that Grants Pass, that’s different,’ and we hope it catches on,” said Reeves.
Reeves also mentioned that the iconic sign, “It’s the Climate” is a permanent fixture and isn’t going anywhere.
The Grants Pass City Council will meet March 7th to go over any final changes to the logo. They hope to implement the new design by May 1st.
