Glendale woman sentenced after starving her baby

0608 HancockGlendale, Ore. — A Glendale woman has been sentenced to ten years in prison,  in the death of her 7-week-old child.

According to the Roseburg News-Review, 23-year-old Amanda Marie Hancock has been convicted of first degree manslaughter.

On January 22nd, first responders were called to a home on the 800-block of Willis Avenue in Glendale.

The infant, Data Hancock, was declared dead at the scene. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said the baby boy died from starvation.

The child’s father, Stephen Williams Jr., was also arrested in the infant’s death.
