Gov. Kasich visits Medford

Medford, Ore. — It was a packed house at Central Medford High School Thursday night. Presidential candidate John Kasich received a warm welcome from Rogue Valley supporters.

Gov. Kasich said to the audience, “I flew in here, it’s a beautiful town, I mean Crater Lake, it’s not New York City, but it’s awfully nice.”

The Ohio governor drilled the audience with a number of points tonight, all aimed at inspiration.  “My job is to provide people with a sense of hopefulness, of healing, of unity,” said Gov. Kasich.

The Rogue Valley is just one of Kasich’s stops here in Oregon. He’s hoping to get his message across before the May 17th primary. He said, “I have the record and experience to improve this economy, bring people together, rebuild the military, and leave no one behind.”

People were prepared with questions, and looking for straight forward answers.

The presidential hopeful hit a number of issues, including the nation’s debt, the overall economy, and education. “If we don’t get these costs under control, we don’t get in under control, no one’s going to go to these schools,” said Gov. Kasich.
