Guns stolen in Yreka

stolen gunYreka, Calif. – The Yreka Police Department say they’ve responded to three separate burglaries over the past two weeks, all involving stolen firearms.

On January 15th, Police responded to an alarm at Parson’s Gun Shop on Main Street. When they arrived they discovered the front door broken in and multiple guns by the door. Officers searched the surrounding area and were unable to locate any suspects. The owner had various alarms and safety mechanisms in order to prevent any theft.

Nearly a week later on January 22nd, a Yreka Police officer responded to the report of an alarm at Don’s Sporting Goods on Lawrence Lane. The officer found a window broken out, and determined that three handguns were missing.

Two days later on January 24th, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Lawrence Lane in Yreka due to a report of stolen guns. It was determined that three guns and one pellet gun were taken.
