Handguns stolen in Fort Jones burglary

Fort Jones, Ore. — Deputies are asking for help tonight tracking down two burglary suspects.

The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a report of a commercial burglary on the 11000 block of State Route 3 in the Fort Jones area on Saturday. The owners discovered the break in after the suspects had left the scene.

After an investigation, officers determined that one suspect and one accomplice broke into a display case and stole 13 handguns. They fled the scene undetected, likely in the early morning hours.

Officers say both suspects appear to be male adults. One was wearing a dark hooded jacked, dark jeans, and dark shoes. The other was wearing a baseball cap and dark hooded jacket. They were likely carrying a backpack or duffel bag.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office at 530-841-2900
