Health experts define “close contact”

SALEM, Ore. – As we learn more about the novel coronavirus, health officials are releasing more information on how to keep ourselves healthy, especially regarding close contact.

The Centers for Disease Control defines “close contact” in part as “being within approximately 6 feet, or 2 meters, of a COVID-19 case for a prolonged period of time.” Close contact also involved being coughed on.
