Oak Brook, Illinois – TreeHouse Foods, Inc. is recalling certain varieties of microwavable macaroni and cheese cups which may be contaminated with Salmonella.
TreeHouse received a notice from its supplier that milk powder used in the cheddar cheese seasoning has the potential for Salmonella contamination.
Salmonella bacteria has the potential to cause severe illness in the elderly, infants, and those with a compromised immune system.
The affected products were sold nationwide and include the popular “Great Value” brand sold through Walmart.
So far, no illnesses have been reported.
Consumers who purchased the affected products are instructed to return them to the store or dispose of them.
