Homes threatened by wildfire burning near Yreka

0824 Grade Fire 01Siskiyou County, Calif. – A 100 acre fire is burning off Highway 263 in northern California.

Cal-Fire said the Grade Fire is currently burning two miles north of Yreka.

Mandatory evacuations have been ordered for residents in the area of Rocky Gulch, Canyon Gulch, and Hawkins Humbug Roads. Evacuation advisories have been issued for homes north of North Street in Yreka and the Hawkinsville area.

According to Cal-Fire, 150 structures are threatened.

Two air tankers were reportedly dispatched to the wildfire.
