Central Point, Ore., — Two people are recovering tonight, after their Central Point home caught on fire early this morning.

Fire District Three responded to a structure fire on the 100 block of Wilson Road around 9am.

On their way, crews were told there was likely someone inside.

Once on scene firefighters found two people inside.

“There’s extensive damage to the inside due to both heat, fire and smoke. Both victims have been transported to the hospital.” said Battallion Chief, Mryon Harvey.

Firefighters did not know why people were still inside the house at the time, but they did not find any smoke alarms.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
