JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. – The Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office is dishing out a large grant that will have a local impact.
The Illinois Valley Fire District received $35,000 for the Wildfire Season Supplemental Staffing Grant.
It said it will help the district bring on more staffing this fire season.
The grant comes from a recent Senate bill that works to boost responder capacity with upgrades and staffing.
