Update (09/06 10:10 a.m.) — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has identified the deceases man as 55-year-old Azalea resident Larry Hugh Porter. The woman has been identified as 51-year-old Azalea resident Deborah Sue Perry.

Azalea, Ore.- A Douglas County man was arrested on murder charges over the weekend.
911 received a call on Saturday, Sept. 3 at about 8:30 p.m. reporting a shooting on Quines Creek Road in Azalea. When deputies responded, they found 42-year-old Travis Leroy Bean driving away from the area. Deputies stopped and detained him.
Inside the home, a man and woman had been shot to death. The Douglas County Major Crimes team was activated and began investigating the crime.
Travis Bean was arrested and lodged in the Douglas County jail on two counts of Murder.
The names of the victims have not been released.
