Eagle Point, Ore.- Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one man dead on Heppsie Mountain Road off Highway 140.
The call originally came in about 2:45 p.m. Thursday.
The shooting was reported as both a suicide and an accidental shooting. Sheriff’s investigators, Oregon State Police and the Bureau of Land Management’s law enforcement officers were all called to the scene to investigate and determine which designation is accurate.
