Judge rules Oregon Shakespeare Festival losses should be covered

0615 OSF rulingAshland, Ore. — A federal judge has initially ruled in the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s favor in their lawsuit against a former insurance company.

OSF filed the suit after smoke from the 2013 fire season forced the company to cancel a number of performances.

They’re suing Great American Insurance Company for more than $381,000.

OSF told NBC5 News that the judge sided with them in an initial ruling, saying that the losses should be covered.

The lawsuit is set to go to trial. No date has been set.
