Klamath Falls urban trail plan proposed

0603 Klamath FallsKlamath Falls, Ore. — A 20-year plan could help to make Klamath Falls friendlier to hikers and bikers.

The city of Klamath Falls already has several excellent trails, but many of them aren’t connected.

Blue Zones Project spokesperson Cort Cox said, “What the Urban Trail Master Plan is all about is increasing connectivity of the current trail system, increasing sidewalks, and really adding to the infrastructure that’s already in place.”

The Urban Trail Master Plan would identify priorities for funding over a 20-year period.

The first reading of an ordinance to adopt the plan goes before the Klamath Falls City Council Monday night.
