Livestock shot in Klamath County

0712 livestock shotKlamath County, Ore. – Police are seeking the public’s help identifying anyone who may be responsible for shooting livestock in Klamath County.

Oregon State Police say a cow was shot on Friday, July 8th on the 106 road near Camp Four in Klamath County. Oregon Department of Forestry officials witnessed the incident.

Police describe the suspect as a white man with a heavy build, wearing shorts and no shoes. He was driving an older Ford Taurus or Chevy Cavalier that is light grey or white in color. The car had several stickers at the top of the rear window.

On Monday, July 11th, police say two more cows were found dead near the 100 line road at Spencer Creek. Those cows may have been shot was well.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call OSP Sergeant Dennis Yaws at (541) 883-5713 extension 321.
