Jackson County Parks and Fire District 3 want to keep you safe on the water.
Loaner life jackets will soon hang on stands at the Agate Lake boat ramp and Shady Cove’s Edgewater Inn.
Residents in the area think it’s a great addition.
“I don’t know how many kids drown every summer but however many it is is too many, so if this saves even one life, that’s great,” resident John Ward said.
Individuals and families can grab a life jacket for a day or the weekend and put them back when they leave.
The jackets will be available from June through September of each year.
