ALL NEW: Lights Staying On In West Medford

Aproposal to turn off street lights in west Medford has been scrapped.

This, after a survey found a majority of residents didn’t approve of the pilot project to save electricity and improve viewing of the night sky.

The city council has since voted unanimously to drop the project.

Street lights in residential areas bounded by Columbus Avenue, West Main Street, Jackson Street and Peach Street would have been the one’s turned off in July and August.
