‘Ashland is Ready’ tickets on sale Monday

ASHLAND IS READYAshland, Ore. — Tickets for the fourth annual ‘Ashland Is Ready’ emergency preparedness presentation are going on sale on Monday.

The event is open to everyone, and costs $10 to attend. Participants will receive an emergency starter kit, filled with essentials you might need in a disaster.

The course will cover what to do in the event of an emergency, and how to prepare your family for one.

“We’ll also have a presentation on fires and floods, about the community emergency response team, and how people can get involved in that if they would like to,” Ashland Fire Chief Margueritte Hickman said. “We’ll also be talking about citizen alert and how people can sign up if they’re not.”

The ‘Ashland Is Ready’ event will be held on September 10th from 12 to 5 PM. It’s happening at the Rogue River room in the Stevenson Union building on SOU’s campus.
