Ashlands mayor vetoes chicken coops

In ashland,

the chicken issue is still up in the air. On friday, Ashland’s mayor vetoed a decision from the city council that made it more difficult for people to raise chickens. Ashland city councilor Carol Voisin says decisions on the ordinances were made too fast. “We went through them in like 10 or 15 mintues with very little deliberation and it wasn’t our finest moment and the mayor rightly recognized that” said Carol Voisin, an Ashland city councilor.

The green ordinances which address solar panels, backyard chickens, and deer fences will be back in front of the council at their next meeting on may first.
