Autopsy ‘inconclusive’ on body found in Lake Ewauna

Klamath Falls, Ore. – An autopsy is conducted on the body of a woman found in Lake Ewauna…but the exact cause of death is still uncertain.

An autopsy was conducted Tuesday in Central Point on the body of 35 year old Alicia Christine Scott.

Klamath County District Attorney Rob Patridge notes that Scott’s body was found by kayakers on Lake Ewauna last week…

“She’d been in the water for a lengthy period of time, which was obvious from the autopsy.”

Scott was last seen in late January, and was reported as ‘missing’ in early February.

Patridge says the autopsy results were inconclusive…

“There was nothing that presented itself as criminal at this point in time.”

Investigators are still waiting on toxicology reports, to determine if there were drugs in her system.

“She certainly had a history.” Adds Rob Patridge. “We’re concerned about drugs and drug history as well, so we’re looking into all those matters.”

Police are still asking for help from anyone who may have been in contact with Scott prior to her death.

Those with any information are asked to contact Detective Brandon Dougherty at the Klamath Falls Police Department.
