Police are still searching for a thief who, they say, flooded the Medford Best Buy.
At around 2 p.m. on Saturday Medford police say a male suspect broke the fire alarm in the bathroom of Best Buy setting off the sprinklers.
Police say, during the distraction, the suspect seized a laptop computer.
“The bathroom flooded. we had to evacuate the building. When risers go off that never gone off before there’s galvanized black grease, so the bathrooms were covered.”
The laptop was recovered. However, the suspect ran off on foot.
Best buy lost two hours of business and estimates a couple thousand dollars in damages.
