Corvallis, Ore. — Oregon State University students are back in their dorms, after they were evacuated Thursday night because of a bomb threat.

Thousands of students were evacuated after the OSU Department of Public Safety says an unidentified caller told them there was a bomb in one of the dorms.

Students were able to go to the library or the student union to wait; many students instead waited outside their dorms.

“It’s a major inconvenience, because it’s midterms and people have tests. And it’s just a bad time to have this,” said OSU student Rhyce Pruit.

Investigators searched each dorm and gave the all-clear about two hours after the evacuation. Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding the person who made the threat.
