Boy Scouts Christmas tree pick up continues in Medford

0102 BOY SCOUTSMedford, Ore. — If you’re still looking to recycle your Christmas tree it’s not too late

Boy Scout Troop 7 was out in force in east Medford Saturday collecting unwanted Christmas trees and taking them to a collection site. At the site the boys and their scout troop leaders chopped up the trees for other uses.

The scouts say the annual tree collection helps them raise money for a summer camping trip.

“We need money for scout camp and this is a great fundraiser because it’s hard-working, it benefits everyone and it works,” says Jacob Watson of Boy Scout Troop #7.

The troop will be collecting trees at homes in east Medford next Saturday as well. If you live in the area look for a special tag on your front door with instructions.
