Update (7:15pm): OSP Bomb squad was called in. They investigated the suspicious object and said it appeared to be a grenade. Using a robot they detonated the object. After destroying it they discovered it was made out of plastic, however wires were inside.
Police say their next step is to figure out what the object was, where it’s sold, and who left it there.
At this time all blocks have been removed and traffic is back to normal.
Breaking News (6:30pm): A possible grenade was found near the Red Cross building in the Blue Sky Plaza off Biddle Road by an undisclosed citizen. The area was blocked off, including much of the parking lot and part of Progress St.
