Jacksonville, Ore. — Britt Festival’s representatives say they had a good season despite smoky conditions.
About 58,000 people showed up for the 35 concerts on Britt’s main stage. That number down just slightly from 60,000 in previous years.
Britt’s president and CEO, Donna Briggs, says wildfires played a huge role, “smoke did absolutely hurt sales for that period but prior to and right after we had strong ticket sales and folks came out.”
Eight concerts were sold out completely and two were cancelled.
Planning has already begun for next year’s season.
