Camp Latgawa hosts 200 6th graders

camp latgawa 5Ore. — 200 6th graders are getting in touch with nature this week at Camp Latgawa in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest.

The days’ activities include field studies, where the students learn about the plants, water, soil, and animals in the area.

The outdoor schooling also coincides with legislation passed in the 2015 session which established a state commitment to outdoor school programs.
