About 30 people met at the library services building in downtown Medford Tuesday evening.
The purpose To meet the candidates for city manager.
The candidates: William Kohbarger of Pahrump Nevada, Anthony O’Rourke of South Lake Tahoe California, Eric Swanson of Roseburg and Tonya Wallace of Boise Idaho.
Mayor Wheeler says that this meeting is only part of the interview process. “So we have not only city council doing interviews, but we have our department heads of all of our departments doing interviews and we also have a 5 citizen panel that’s appointed from the different areas of Medford to do interviews also”.
Council members say that they are looking for someone that can lead and communicate effectively, not just fix budget problems.
