Car crashes into front yard of Eagle Point home, driver sent to hospital

Eagle Point, Ore. –Around noon on Monday, a car came crashing into the front yard of a home on the 100 block of Shasta Avenue.

The car left the road, hit concrete blocks, and went straight into the tree. One of the concrete slabs even came barreling into the family’s living room.

“Honestly it sounded like a cannon. I thought a transformer or something blew. And the tree’s what saved us. If the tree hadn’t been there you wouldn’t be talking to me right now,” said Quintin Brusseau who was inside of the home at the time of the crash.

Eagle Point Police say it appears the woman behind the wheel suffered some sort of medical emergency. She was taken to Providence Medford Medical Center. Her condition is unknown.
