Car nearly crashes into Medford store, driver runs from police

Medford, Ore. — A close call in Medford today when a car almost crashed into a store window.

Multiple witnesses we spoke with say this black car was headed north on Grape Street, allegedly ran a red light, and hit another car headed west on 8th Street with two women inside, one had minor injuries.

Witnesses say the black car took out a tree then almost crashed through the Rogue Valley Coin and Jewelry.

Chris Cotta, R.V. Coin and Jewelry office manager, All of a sudden we heard a loud crash, screeching of tires and saw this black car here come spinning and it spun like two 360s, how it didn’t make it into the building or hit the truck that was parked right here is a miracle.

Police say a person in the black car ran from the scene, but officers caught up.

The investigation is on-going, possible citations include failure to obey a traffic control device, reckless driving and hit and run injury, which is a felony.
