Catstravaganza this weekend

Jackson County, Ore.– Rogue Valley shelters will be holding a special adoption event for cats this weekend to make more room for felines in animal shelters.

Currently, more than 75 adult cats need homes.

Catstravaganza is giving people the opportunity to adopt a vaccinated and neutered cat for free.

Southern Oregon Humane officials hope this will make more room for other cats that need shelter.

“There’s still too many cats who need homes so we’re working with Jackson County animal care and sanctuary one to really say what if this weekend is really about the cats,” explains Ken Altine, the Executive Director of SO Humane Society.

The event will be held at three locations on Saturday and Sunday.

The Jackson County Animal Shelter, Sanctuary One, and Southern Oregon Humane Society all from 11am to 4pm.
