Cave Junction homeowner sent to hospital following house fire

Cave Junction, Ore. — The owner of a Cave Junction home suffered serious burns, when their house caught on fire Monday morning.

Fire crews were sent to the 100 block of Patton Bar Road just before 7 Monday morning for a house that was reportedly engulfed in flames.

The homeowner was taken to the hospital with second and third degree burns. Officials have not released the homeowner’s name.

After about 50 minutes, crews were able to put the flames out. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
