Cave Junction man sentenced following fatal accident

erric fisherA Cave Junction man who pleaded guilty to a homicide charge after a passenger in his car died will spend several years behind bars.

20-year-old Erric Fisher pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and DUII after a crash killed on of his passengers and severely injured another back in April of last year near Cave Junction. Fisher was 19-years-old at the time of the crash.

Fisher had been scheduled to be sentenced earlier this month but did not appear, prompting a warrant to be issued for his arrest. The Josephine County DA’s office says Fisher will spend three years and 10 months in prison with three years parole and will pay nearly $4,900 in fines.
