Investigators are learning more about a house fire in Central Point where a 70 year old woman was found dead on Friday morning.
Firefighters responded to the duplex fire on Mountain View Drive.
When they got there they found 70 year old Joyce Esposito, the only person in the home, dead.
“The house was fully charged with smoke. Once they made entry there was very little fire. They did their primary search and found one victim,” said Don Hickman.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. Police say it does not appear to be criminal and while the cause of Esposito’s death has yet to be confirmed, firefighter’s do say deaths in these situations are usually the result of smoke inhalation.
