Citizen’s tip leads to arrest of alleged driver involved in White City hit and run

White City, Ore. — A tip to the Oregon State Police led to the arrest of the driver involved in an early Saturday morning pedestrian-involved serious injury hit & run crash on Highway 62 in White City.

A black 1997 Dodge Ram pickup with fresh body damage had damage to the right front marker light, right front bumper and passenger side mirror. Troopers identified the vehicle’s owner as George V. Prauss, age 34, from White City, and contacted him at his place of employment.

Prauss is being held in the Jackson County Jail for Felony Hit & Run, DUII, Reckless Driving, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
